metadata for voice memos

Frank Feb 08, 2015 04:26PM CST

Is there a readable sequence in the metadata of a voice memo created on an iphone that would indicate whether the recorded file may have been paused (while still in record mode) before it was saved? It is very difficult to detect this by just listening. Thanks

No, it appears iOS doesn’t not record that type of information into the final M4A file for a voice memo. It’s also not the sort of metadata that can be added to an M4A file.
