C Drive full - how can I backup iPad to external drive?

Mel G Jan 03, 2018 08:14PM CST

My 128GB C: Drive on my one windows machine is too full to do a backup of my 64GB ipad, but I have not been able to get a backup setup to go to my 2TB external drive. Can you give me the steps for saving iPad backups on external drive?

Can I do partial backups of the most critical files I need to get backed up? Please send links to instructions. Haven't been able to figure this out and have 10+ hours of trying and failing...

Thanks very much

You can now do this in both the Mac and PC versions of iExplorer. There’s a field in its Preferences/Settings to choose a different backup location. By default, it’s set to the folder location that iTunes uses. You’ll find the option to change backup location on the Backups tab in Preferences/Settings.
