Cannot install iExplorer 4

Every time I run the iExplorer Setup Application I receive a message stating "Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor." The details state an error that "Value does not fall within the expected range." Does anyone know what the problem is or how to fix it?

If the install log for iExplorer PC mentions “+ Value does not fall within the expected range.” in the Error Summary section, please try the following steps:

  1. Click on Start in the lower left corner of your Desktop and type in AppData and hit Enter.
  2. Select the search result and navigate to AppData\Local\Apps\ in Windows Explorer and delete the subfolder named “2.0”.
  3. Run the iExplorer installer again.

If that doesn’t work, or you don’t see a 2.0 folder, please open the Run app (you can search Windows for “Run” and select the app) and run the following command:

rundll32 windir\system32\dfshim.dll CleanOnlineAppCache

Just copy the line above and paste it into the command prompt of the Run app and hit Enter. Then, try running the iExplorer installer again.
